Rick Boven - Director/Writer/Actor:
Rick Boven is an artist, filmmaker, and publisher. He was born in Petoskey, Michigan in 1983. As a director his work has seen rotation on television networks such as MTV and Fuse TV, as well as online media outlets such as Billboard.com, VH1.com and Blender Magazine Online. In early 2010 he co-founded the Chicago based publisher Nan Bu Nan Books. Currently leading the charge into the digital publishing of independent eBooks and eComics, Boven has already released numerous titles through the imprint; including 'Do The Speak,' 'Last Pict,' and 'Heartbeasts,' many of which are currently in development for film.
Mike Berlucchi - Cinematographer:
Bursting onto the Detroit film scene as a photographic phenom in the mid 2000's, Mike Berlucchi established his reputation as a prodigy behind the lens before he could legally drink. Since forming Hott Garbage with Rick Boven in early 2007, Mike has gone on to shoot names such as The Von Bondies, Ace Enders, The Swellers, and Black Milk. A renaissance man of the working set, he has also assisted on such high profile film projects such as Scream 4, Trust, and Ides of March. Mike's penchant for the abstract and creatively fulfilling keeps his eye a bit sharper than most of his peers, and his already extensive body of work proves it.
Sarah Pierpont - Producer/Cinematographer:
Originally starting as a photographer in southern Indiana, Sarah Pierpont jumped into Cinematography on a handful of local independent films; including 'What Are You?' that not only saw screenings at Paramount Studios, but also gained rotation at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Later that year she moved to Chicago and hopped into the world of Producing. Unsurprisingly, within a year she had production credits with names such as Craftsman, Sears, and Kellogg's. She was not only making waves in the advertising world, but also on the Chicago music video scene where she shot and produced content for Foxy Shazam and Warner Bros; and other independent music video work that saw rotation on networks such as Fuse TV.
